The illustration was created for the New Year and it represents the phrase “It’s not about the place, it’s about the people”, which means that it doesn’t matter where you’re spending the holidays, what matters is the people who are with you. The idea and the delivery tell us how much it matters to be with someone you love, especially in the most important moments of life. Although the illustration is related to the New Year celebration, it’s completely universal because it doesn’t contain elements related to the actual holiday. It shows two young women who are happy to be with each other. They are united despite being different: they’re dressed differently and have different skin colors. They accept and appreciate each other. The illustration creates a positive mood, it emits kind and comforting energy.
My name is Misha, I’m 18 years old. I’m an illustrator and graphic designer. I’m interested in creative arts, I love festivals and open events such as Queerfest. I’ve been drawing for a very long time and I like adding levity to the heavy emotions through my art. I dream of working in modern influence projects and I’m open to suggestions!
